Hello all! I recently participated in an open blitz tournament on chess.com! I finished first with a score of 6.5/7.0. All of my games were g3 with white or g6 with black.This is round 5. I am playing a strong 1900 (almost 2000). I myself rarely play blitz but am a 1630. This is my first time annotating a position. Hope you all enjoy! I will post more games in the future

I only had one g3 game today, and it's a win! My opponent spent a lot of time running away and moving the same pieces. He gave me very little in the way of problems, and he resigned as soon as it was clear he was going down a piece. Enjoy.

I lost this game starting on move 43, when I misplayed the knight vs. King and pawn. (Fritz shows the correct move in analysis.) Until then, I missed a couple of good moves by my opponent, but overall I was winning and was up a piece. I played on a bit past the end of the game, but resigned shortly. Kudos to my opponent for hanging in there and playing the endgame correctly. Analysis by Fritz.

So here's my round 4 game with g3, which was a smashing success. My opponent made me look like Bobby Fischer in this game, no lie. Prepare to be amazed as my pieces all swarm together and descend on black's hapless king, crushing him in the center of the board in under 20 moves. Cover the children's eyes - rated R for extreme violence!

Do you have any interesting tries with g3? I would love to see the way you play g3, so please share your games here. :) As I'm asking for your games, it would be impolite to don't show few of my own :)

Im interested to see the repertoires you have all created with 1.g3, since it gives so many options. I somtimes find it hard to choose what lines to play and ehat to omit.At the moment for me I play 1.g3 and if:..e5 i play a reverse sniper, usually spending my extra tempo to play the waiting move a3 at some point...d5 I'm playing a reverse leningrad dutch, though im not too sure about this one sometimes...c5 closed sicilian.Generally if they low ambition moves I will setup similar to a closed sicilian/leningrad bird with g3/bg2/f4/e4/d3

This is a very awesome game between two of the greatest chess minds. R. Reti starting with 1.g3 though losing to Alekhine's superb combination!! Also read the annotations for the somehow funny story while they were playing the game.
