So i noticed on four player that often a non-king piece has the check role of a king, how do i do this?

Four player chess is great to get out of the reality of boring slow two player chess, what makes it different? What is the future for it? Will we have six player chess? Or eight-player team chess, the future belongs to those who want it. My question is do you want a future for chess

is it possible to play 4 player chess with friends?
