I'm a big fan of Andrew Martin's teaching style. I make my living teaching chess in the public school system as well as through a program I devloped for teaching kids in jail. I find that Andrew Martin gets through to kids better than most Chessmasters because he is clear and concise as well as sounding like a normal person as opposed to many Masters who tend to overcomplicate explanations. I love the ABS of Chess Openings by Chessbase. Any thoughts on the subject?
I am a huge fan of Andrew Martin and it saddens me to see this group down to it's bare bones. Therefore, my New Year's resolution is to force some life into this group. I'm going to go through IM Andrew Martin's many DVDs and write about the many fantastic points he makes. If you have not had the pleasure of watching any of his extremely informative DVDs you should! IM Martin offers clear concise explanations to some very complex subjects. Please let me know what you'd like to see here at the Academy. Let's make Andrew proud and get this group going!

Hey There fellow AMCA members. I am a professional chess instructor here in san Francisco. I am also a huge fan of Andrew Martin, owning most of his instructional videos and Chessbase products. His narratives are extremely useful and easy for most students to use. Much of the material I sue for teaching comes directly from AM lessons. I'd like to see this group really get going. I'm not an administrator for this group be feel the group could really be valuable for everyone else on Chess.com. Is anyone else still interested in this group?
