hi guys & thanks for the welcome. i was a member before but checked out so i could play my team against ya's. good to be back though. but what im interested in is if anybody's heard from lord-loss? his vacation time has ran out and he's now lost all his games. wee bit worried about him.
Glad to have you with us. This is a very friendly, supportive group and we're pleased to have you on our group team.
I see that there's an option for us to create a photo album for our group. Would y'all be interested in seeing the faces behind our user names?

Hi, Chess Mates - I'm going to be assisting Lord-Loss with some of the admin tasks here and wanted to tell you a bit about myself. Last year I retired from the corporate rat race after many years and moved from Texas (I'm not a native Texan, I grew up in Massachusetts) to a retirement resort on a tiny tropical island off the SW Gulf Coast of Florida. We have a group of chess players who play regularly twice a week and they have been excellent - and patient - coaches. I'm the only woman in our retirement community who plays chess, so the guys were really surprised when I first showed up to play! When I'm not playing, I go back and forth between the tables and watch the tactics from both perspectives. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and playing some chess! Nancy
