Watch this game closely... here I am playing as Black As you can see even if I lost my Queen I still pushed on and I won that game. Losing my Queen motivated me to push forward into my opponents lines and checkmate his King. The key that I used to winning this Game was my knights and rooks.

Hi all! Here I'd like to pose a question for the club; What's your opinion on the Ruy López (or Spanish Game) opening for beginners? For the longest time I never actually bothered to learn openings, but in the past year I've finally decided to put in some effort and learn how to play the openings and kind of fell into playing the Ruy López as my main line for White. There has been pros and cons to the whole process, to quote Chess.com on two of the biggest cons: "Some lines are very theoreticalBlack has a huge number of defenses to choose from" And the latter couldn't be more true. Even now it feels like I encounter a new line just after learning the last. Bellow I'm posting minor analysis with some commentary and I'd love it if you guys posted your own thoughts and opinions on it. As a bonus question, what opening do you think is the best for beginners?
