General Club Rules _____________________________ Hi everyone! To keep this club in order, obviously lines need to be drawn from time to time. @ant-x and I, @101Databases, have set some basic rules for the wellbeing of this community. They should be relatively easy to follow. Use the following (link) to better understand penalty, member roles, and abbreviations.  Fair Play No, it does not make you cooler that your using stockfish when three days later your account is stamped with a big red ban symbol for the entire chess world to see. C’mon, it’s literal common sense.  Breaking this rule results in the following punishment: 1. Permanent Exclosure (Ban) + Chess.com Report Respect & Sportsmanship Please don’t cuss someone out because you hung your queen on move six. This is for the better of your opponent and yourself.  Breaking this rule results in the following punishment: 1. Temporary Mute (3D) 2. Permanent Mute + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (3D) 3. Permanent Exclosure + Chess.com Report End a game saying “Good game” or “well played”. I mean, I guess you don’t have to, but it’s still a kind gesture. Non - Applicable When you are having an argument or political discussion, keep it controlled and proper.  Breaking this rule results in the following punishment:                                                                  (ONLY APPLIES IF THINGS GO HAYWIRE) 1. Temporary Mute (1D) 2. Temporary Mute (1W) + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (3D) 3. Permanent Mute + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1W) Respect others’ opinions’ please! You may not agree or believe what someone else may think, but it’s their right to have an opinion and a belief. Breaking this rule results in the following punishment: 1. Temporary Mute (3D) 2. Temporary Mute (1W) + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (3D) 3. Permanent Mute + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1W) Advertisement  Advertisement is okay as a one-time thing but please keep it chess related and don’t break the limit.  Breaking this rule results in the following punishment: 1. Temporary Mute (1D) 2. Temporary Mute (3D) + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1D) 3. Permanent Mute + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1W) Commenting on your advertisement forum to list it at the top of forums is strictly prohibited. Breaking this rule results in the following punishment: 1. Temporary Mute (1D) 2. Temporary Mute (3D) + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1D) 3. Permanent Mute + Temporary Exclosure (Ban) (1W) Miscellaneous Any form of communication (except announcements) is allowed for anybody to use. However, spamming and advertising excessively is strictly prohibited. (Announcements are only allowed for super admins. Admins must use permission from an SAD if they want to post an announcement.) Abuse of position is an extreme violation and will result in a three day to a permanent ban ( as well as demotion) depending on what you have abused in your position. Being a higher role in the club does not place you above the club law and order. Improtant Notes Breaking club rules are serious offenses and will not be dealt with lightly. If you break a rule, you are subject to the first punishment stage. This is a warning. If you break a rule twice, you are subject to the second punishment stage. This is a reminder. If you break a rule three times, you are subject to the third stage of punishment. This is discipline and a penalty. BREAKING DIFFERENT RULES STACK. For example, I break one rule, then another, and then another one. I am subject to the three stages of all three rules. My mute time and temporary ban time is added up and is immediately in effect. You could always apologize, PUBLICLY, explaining what you did and why you should be let back into the club, to reduce a temporary ban or undo a perma-ban. However, this is a one time opportunity as we will not tolerate abuse. Please do your absolute best to follow these rules as we want this club to be as clean as possible while being a good place to have fun and get better without trouble occurring.
