1. d4. Just thought it'd be nice to have a little in-group competition.

Hi everybody! I just wanted to post my live chess game. I know I made a few mistakes, but I still won on time. Please post analysis! Thanks so much!

Recently, I played a game with a player rated much higher than me, but I still drew. Can you post some factors in this draw, as well as what I could have improved on? echess link: http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=42330769

Here's a recent King's Indian game I played in live against a friend. In the end, the weakness of his back rank allowed me to finish the job. Overall, I think I played pretty well, but there were a couple questionable moves. 10...Qc7!? 13...Nh5!? 18...cxb5!? Hoping for some feedback, as always. Cheers.

Here is a hippo game from a while back where there was a huge tradeoff. I probably could have played more energetically, but in the end, I was allowed to dominate the d file and get a passed pawn and that's what did him in. What I'm curious about is how I handled his early f4 and how a different sequence in that big trade would have left me. I don't think he played the best moves there...

This is one of the craziest Hippo games I've ever played. The opening was especially interesting. I'm curious as to how well I played it and some of the middle game. Any ideas?

The Latvian, by many, is viewed to be at best, bleakly drawing for Black. Still, it can be easy to snare unwary opponents. This was a game where I just happened to score a good attack. Still, I think there were a few instances where I could have done better. The time control was 7 minutes, no bonus time. It was a blitz game. I think all in all, this was a pretty good game. There were a few instances where I wasn't sure though. Natural defensive tendencies certainly hamper my attempts attacking. What do you all think?

Right, lets kick things off in this group with a slightly odd game I played recently with a workmate. I submitted this to the computer analysis function on chess.com, but I've found what I got back very confusing. It's adamant that I should have played a couple of moves but the line it shows leads to losing positions, and so I can't easily find out why it thinks those are the best I can do. I do understand that this means that my opponent must have missed crushing responses to the moves I did play, but I'd be interested to get clearer analysis from stronger players on what I missed and what they would have done.
