Recently there have been many players, often above 2000 level, who have gained inflated bullet ratings of 3000+ playing what is commonly known as "ultra bullet" time formats, faster than hyperbullet (30 sec+0), usually 10sec+0.1 or 15sec+0 (though 10sec+0.1 seems to be more common, for a reason I will mention later). Fast mousing, premoving, and being tricky are of the utmost importance. These ambitious and often very skilled players, some of them titled, play hundreds of these games, become very good, and gain extremely high bullet ratings, up to 1000 points higher than their actual rating. The reason for this is that chess.com incompetently fails to have a seperate rating for these time formats (and they've been claiming they'll add a separate rating for years, and have still not done so), making it very hard to find games, as the time formats must be custom and most players, understandably, don't feel like going through the trouble of waiting 20 minutes for a game or hunting all over chess.com for 30 minutes trying to find a good opponent who will except their challenge. Plus, if an Ultrabullet player with an inflated rating wishes to play regular bullet (usually 1+0, 1+1, or 2+1), they often (understandably, because they're overrated in these time formats) promptly lose 300 points, making it unfair.  Many people have been speaking up about this for years, and requesting this in forums clearly is not working to convince chess.com to add it. So we, as a community, must come together to try something else.  We must build a community of ultrabullet players, all levels welcome, and begin friending other Ultrabullet players, playing lots of games, and gain lots of rating. The goal is to flood the world bullet leaderboard with these players, until chess.com finally decided to add a separate rating and leaderboard, and we Ultrabullet players will gain our rightful place AMONG THE GODS!!! All jokes aside, many people will say, "I don't want to waste my time playing a time format that obviously doesn't help me improve at chess." The truth is, have it as a side project. I suggest you play your daily rapid or blitz or whatever your improvement routine is, and then play, like 20, Ultrabullet games. It won't make you worse at chess, and as long as you play more rapid than Ultrabullet, nothing bad will happen to you and it shouldn't affect your improvement.  Some people will also say, "you never play any Ultrabullet, how can you be trying to start this?" The truth is I play lots of 15 sec on Lichess.org, which has a separate rating and leaderboard for it, as it should. My profile there is under the same username, so you can view my activity there if you don't believe me. Still some people might say, "I'll have to win like 300 Ultrabullet games to gain any significant rating, because chess.com makes it so that these time formats effect rating less, to discourage inflated ratings." Ah, but if you add increment, such as 10sec+0.1, then that doesn't take effect! So we have every reason to start this already ignited revolution, build community and friendship, and make chess.com a better website for us all!
