This is a copy of my announcement on Daniel Naroditdky, I am just positing it here aswell so it reaches more people.
I just did a lot of reading and studying on the death of Naroditsky, age 29, and I think I finally understand.
First, a moment of silence for Daniel Naroditsky.
Naroditsky passed on the 19th of October, 20205. He was found unconscious on his couch by Oleksandr Bortnyk, and Peter Giannatos. Possible causes of death are drug overdose, and suicide. These causes of death were mainly prompted by the cheating accusations of Vladimir Kramnik, former chess world champion. He would commonly accuse Daniel Naroditsky of cheating in online games, starting in October of 2024, just over a year ago. The reasons this affected him so negatively, were because chess was his life long care and dedication. All that mattered to him was keeping his name in chess and staying in the game. But, in my interpretation, the more realistic and poorly affecting reasoning, was because he spent his entire childhood looking up to Vladimir Kramnik, so he felt crushed after these alligations.
As a response towards Naroditsky cheating, this was not the first time Vladimir has accused people of cheating online, and has been repetitively time-banned due to these and other unfair actions upon members of the chess community. He has since been banned from all FIDE ratings, been revoked of all status, and permanently banned from chess.com as a whole. Despite this, Kramnik refused any relation towards the death of Daniel, stating; "I have never made any personal attack or insult towards Daniel Naroditsky." This was a blatant lie, as he has been proven of accusing him of cheating. It has also been said that Daniel was suffering from some mental problems at the time. Also in the words of Kramnik: "Despite the tensions in our relationship, I was the only person in the chess community who, noticing on Daniel's obvious health issues a day before his death, publicly called for him to receive help. / Unfortunately, this plea was ignored by everyone. The subsequent attempts, immediately following his passing, to directly link this tragic event to my name-especially in light of this fact-cross all boundaries of basic human morality, in my view."
As you were able to see, Kramnik not only denies insults towards Naroditsky, but also says that he noticed his mental health decline, and recommended him to seek help. However, I do not believe that in the slightest. What I do believe though, is that we do not yet know the entire story. I will be continuously looking for more information involving his tragic passing. If you have any valuable information, or any information at all, please message me as I will do everything within my own and the entire Geometry Dash of Chess groups power to make sure the truth is released with undeniable evidence.
Rest in peace Daniel Aaron Naroditsky, you will forever be loved.
