I have been in discussion with Chess.com who say that to get the club on Chess.com back in action we need to vote for a new owner and Super Admin person. This person will then be able to carry out the normal duties of a Super Admin and start creating a new admin team. I have sent a message through Facebook to the Chess Society on their Facebook account so waiting to hear back from them. Are there any chess people in this club also part of the OTB club at the University? Can they encourage their admin to get in touch about taking over this club once we have active control of it. I am happy to put myself forward to be the new owner/super admin person in the mean time. Once we have connection with somebody running the Uni club it is an easy matter of transferring over responsibility to them. If anyone else wants to take on the roll please put yourself forward and state your reasons why you should be the owner/ super admin. Other members can then vote on who they wish to get the club going. Let the campaign commence.

I have been in touch with Chess.com to try and get the online GUSS back in action so that it can be back under control of the club based at the University. Currently the admin team are no longer active or not being involved with running the online club. Occasionally the Owner GUChessSociety comes online so if they see this message please get in touch. If they no longer wish to be in charge it is a simple matter for them to transfer ownership to another person. I am happy to be that person unless there is a person or persons who is a current active member of this club and also a member of the OTB club who is willing to stand for a vote and subsequently take on the task if taking things forward. I am only here for the short term until a solution is found. If anyone has any other thoughts please add your comments below. Thanks Martin
