With a lot of vote chess matches starting up, as well as a big spike in member growth, I figured it would be a good idea to discuss openings that we like to play. In vote chess matches, I often find that teams are very divided when it comes to what opening to play. If we can familiarize ourselves with each other's openings, not only will our individual chess skills improve, but we can understand where our team members are coming from when they suggest moves that are otherwise foreign to us, and hence play to the best of our ability. If you have a particular opening that you enjoy playing, or would like to learn more about, comment down below with some sort of explanation/diagram, and we can discuss it as a group! ~Knight

I have recently made a match against DUMMY GROUP. It is a team line up/rating list so you can see where you are in the team. It will also help the admins too. Please can everyone join. ninky>

Try it and post it! Keep in mind I am not particularly good when using both eyes ;) but am satisfied with my first try. Lost track of his queen (playing to a square and back in consecutive moves :/) and thought I advanced my king. This is where things went very wrong

Nice and light checkmate in 3. White to move. :)

Here's quite a tough one I found earlier today. White to move and win. Hint: Imagine black is playing for a draw. Don't let black trade the rook for the pawn. Enjoy! :)

Hey Indomitable! One of our members messaged me requesting admin status, which reminded me, I'm looking for some admins for our humble little (soon to be big hehe) group. All I ask from your end is that you remain active in the group and keep it a friendly and welcoming place. Oh, and if time permits, invite new people, as we are still a growing group. With that said, would anyone like to be an administrator? Post on this forum or message me if you're interested. :) Have a great day everyone!

Here's a fun one. Black to move and win material. Think unconventionally.
