Just wanted to canvas opinion with what to do with the LRCA Blitz tournaments. There seems to be a hard core of regulars but numbers have certainly dropped since we started back in March. So the questions are: 1. Should this still be a weekly event or would be better to move to every other week? 2. Should the format be varied from week to week. With lower numbers maybe a 4 round 10 + 3 tournament would work well? Anyway please let me have your thoughts?

The ECF are proposing a county team competition that would run throughout June and July (possibly longer) with games every 1-2 weeks probably on Saturdays against other counties on chess.com. Games would likely be 45 mins + 15 (although possibly longer depending on feedback from the counties) over 12 boards. It's not certain there will be a grade limited section but again that will be determined by the response of the invited counties. Games would be graded on the ECF online ratings (completely separate from the usual ECF grades). We are trying to gauge whether there's sufficient interest to enter a Leicestershire team or teams. Could you let me know if you might be interested in such a competition and whether it makes any difference to you if it's a grade limited section or not?

Hi All Thank you all for joining the LRCA team/club. There should be plenty of events to get our teeth into. So that we have a rough idea of who is who, I thought we could all post names of who we are under usernames, so we know who we're playing against. I'll start - Lampman - Ben Vaughan, Anstey Chess Club
