Hi everyone. I am the new owner of Project Hybrid, I haven't been here for long, but I am very close to shutting down all four Project Hybrids. @Haramisblood , founder of Project Hybrid has left the club in my hands, and has given me full permission to do whatever I want, but I feel alone in this... Whenever I try to start conversation, I never get a response anymore, even though I am talking to almost 150 people, I feel like I am talking to a wall instead. No one really seems to care... And then I check the club audit log and I see people leaving almost every day. I don't seem to get a response from any admins anymore, except one or two, but that is it. So yeah, I'll leave this open for one or two days, but then it closes. Bye everyone.

Magnus Carlsen's endgame technique is probably what he is most famous for. He is known for squeezing wins from drawn positions relentlessly and with such precision that not even the 2800 players can deal with him sometimes. He also never gives up. Even if it is an objectively drawn position, he will still try to complicate it and gain a slight edge which he will then try to convert. I have chosen three games from the early stages of his career, before he became the World Champion. I hope you find them instructive! Games selected: 02:00 John Nunn - Magnus Carlsen, Youth - Experience 2006 15:45 Shakhriyar Mamedyarov - Magnus Carlsen, Wijk 2008 28:43 Magnus Carlsen - Vassily Ivanchuk, Bazna 2011
Each month we will showcase one of Magnus Carlsen's many great games. For August 2022 we look back at the World Rapid Championship final in 2019 Magnus already had a full point lead over the field going into this game but played the game with confidence and became World Rapid Champion. Both players played to a high standard but made small inaccuracies at towards the end of the game. The evaluation of the final position is +0.5, likely leading to a draw if the game had been played out all of the way. After winning the tournament he said with a smile "I think it's possible to give your all in all of the games, but it also helps that I'm better than all of the others!" Magnus was joined on the podium by runner up Hikaru Nakamura, and former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik in 3rd place.
I was going against a 900 and I've never gone against someone so high in a while so I panicked but I managed to keep my cool long enough to win via resignation

Welcome to the Magnus Carlsen's fan club!
