Eliminated WoFs: Obsidian Pinnacle, Switching Armies. I'm gonna post 2 comments, one for top 3, second for top 1. Each with two Modern WoFs. Vote with the black piece for the better of them. You can't make two votes under one comment. Counting votes: The variant with less votes loses, if there is a tie, then the variant with less upvotes from first 3 votings is loses (collected before writing it so no one can manipulate this rule), if there is still a tie, then the older variant is loses. After a very close voting, Cloister drew Obsidian Pinnacle 5:5, but due to the tiebreaker, Cloister goes to the final. Inequity beat Switching Armies 6:5 (why did icp vote here but not in the first comment), avoiding the tiebraker loss. Voting closes on May 25, 20:00 UTC time, so do it fast.

Old strict definition: Modern Wheel of Fortune are WoFs, that: 1. Are 2-player (though self-partner teams are allowed) 2. Doesn't have bots, unless you can tell what the bot will do 100% of the time if it's relevant 3. Have no Fog of War 4. Needs to be found on variants.world. So the first modern WoF is Tinyhouse by chye3mc. New definition: The WoF is having minimal amount of luck (decided by community)

Suggest a Modern WoF, which could be used in another championship, like Cloister Championship. Also, can someone suggest a possible better format so people will actually play? Also don't suggest Obby, it was suggested and didn't succeed, and also T sack strat got discovered

Since Obsidian Pinnacle has a lot of fans, here's a championship of it. The format is the same as in Cloister Chamionship, except: The time control is 15s|2. There are 12 games in a match. Suggest a Modern WoF, which could be used in another championship, like Cloister Championship.

So the Cloister Championship has ended. We didn't play a lot of matches, but i think i can give results which everyone will agree with. @anicestep and @Dan-kyu_System didn't play any games. @gardent490, @xxPlayer1014xx, @chessknightben didn't play any matches, so i only count the rest. Results: 1. @wolyn. We can all agree that he's the absolute GOAT of Cloister, he 8-0d me and TimeVeteran. 2. @CzarnyResorak567. Only person i lost a match to was wolyn, and i beat other 3 people. 3. @xMAKSIUx. He played only vs me, but we had a close match (5-3 for me) 4\5. @TimeVeteran and @VishTheFish771. I wanna see a match between them for 4th place.

Here is a list of known bugs and exploits (comment if you know more) Name: Dead Grasshopper Bug How it works: Making a dead grasshopper "check" the king deducts a live from the checked king, if n-check is on. Dead grasshopper in terms of checking works like one of the color of the one which died with fatal, other check all players. Taboo rule doesn't prevent this kind of checks. Why it probably happens: ??? Name: Dead Piece Bug How it works: If a dead piece is in player's crazyhouse bank, then the player can't drop a piece of this kind on the board. Works weirdly if the piece is an alive one of other player's color. Why it probably happens: Server sees that a player tries to drop a piece, and thinks that player wanna drop dead piece of this kind. Name: Xiangqi Horse Check Bug. How it works: When a xiangqi horse (or a dragon bishop with it's knight movement) checks the king, then you can't block this check with a crazyhouse drop. Why it probably happens: Server sees xiangqi horse as a leaper, thus making blocking a check from it illegal. Name: Dead Piece Atomic Checkmate Bug: How it works: (gonna put that later)

Cloister got picked as the best Modern WoF, so here is a tournament of it. Comment @{your username} to sign up. Example: @CzarnyResorak567. Signup ends on June 18, 20:00:00 UTC. Tournament starts right after the end of signups. Rules: Everyone plays with everyone. If there will be N players, then they have N days from signup ending to complete all of their matches. Match rules: Two players play 8 games of Cloister, rated or unrated with 1|3 time control. The one with more points wins the match. If there is a tie, then they play two games, and if there is still one, they play two games again, and they play like this until someone gets 1.5 or 2 points out of two games. After a match, the winner should post a comment containing all 8 or more games. Points: 8-0, 7.5-0.5, 7-1 or 6.5-1.5 2p for winner, 0p for loser. 6-2 or 5.5-2.5 1.8 for winner, 0.2 for loser. 5-3 or 4.5-3.5 1.5 for winner, 0.5 for loser. Tiebreak win: 1.3 for winner, 0.7 for loser. The player with most points wins! If you want a clarification of some rule, then ask in the comment!
