Since it might be difficult for a small club to play a real chess.com tournament, I want to propose an alternative. We do a kind of private tournament. Everyone who joins plays one game of 45+45 every week. I will create a Google docs document where we can gather the results. I will determine the pairings every week Sunday evening and then you have one week time to arrange a time for the game and to play the game. You can register here in the forum. Also if you have questions you can ask here. I am also open for suggestions for modifications. The first pairings will be out this Sunday (when hopefully some members register). The tournament is over when everyone has played with everyone else two times (one game with each colour).

This club is intended for player who want to play games with longer time controls (30+20 / 40+30 / 45+45) and thereby want to improve their chess. We can play weekly tournaments. For tournaments you need at least 4 player to start. When you have time controls like 45+45 the disadvantage is that player who finish their game early have to wait until the other games are finished. So I want to test at first 30+20 tournaments. Another idea: We do an alternative kind of tournament. Everyone plays one game per week - 40+30 or 45+45. Who is interested writes this here in the thread. I will then schedule who plays against whom in which order and the player arrange the time for the game. I am looking forward to your ideas for the club
