Hello everybody, I'm nyLsel and I want to share you my understanding on Dynamic and Static advantages on chess. These are the two types of advantages each player should have. But first, what is dynamic and static advantages? Okay, the dynamic one is the type of advantage which encompasses the development advantage, strong initiative, great compensation for a pawn and so on. The static on the other hand go on for better pawn structure, better key squares for your pieces, bishop pair and so on. So in conclusion: The dynamic advantage are the short-term advantage where can lose for one or two inexact moves while the static advantage are the long term advantage.
This is where you will post where your weaknesses are and we'll see if we can see each other and teach you to improve your positional understanding of the game.

In the introduction one see here: http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/lesson--1-on-analysing-your-games We've discussed on the benefits of analysing your game. Now it is for us to know where and what kind of position are we looking for: Here are the schemes of analysing: 1. Identify the critical moments 2. Don't start another game if you feel that the variations aren't met completely yet. Remember it is better to have 1 complete annotated game than 10 with incomplete and lacking ideas of the game. 3. Analyse where is the time you got mistake. when analysing game, it is better to write down what you think during the game for you to be able to know what are the moves you misjudged in the game.

This is one of the most critical and crucial part of training, because this requires too many amount of time. But this is the only way if you want to learn chess the easy way. Q:1 Why Analysing your games will help you on your game? This will helps us improve our positional understanding on the game, you analyse the position with your opponent during the game and will analyse it to the third time at home. So this will give you an insight on what were lacking on your game. Analysing your games is better than reading an annotated master games. On my students, I encourage them to analyse 3 games for 1 week. Which will must have a lose game in order for them to know their weaknesses. This requires time, but if your serious about your improvement, maybe analysing games must be the key to enhance your chess skill. Good luck! nyLsel
