Out of all the daily games I play from time to time such as Wordle and Worldle, Timeguessr might be the most fun. Like Geoguessr, you have to guess the location of a photo, but the twist is that you must also guess the year, which can range from 1900 to present day. https://timeguessr.com Give it a try and share your results! Don't spoil the answers if you do the daily mode since it's the same for everybody.

I was recently gifted the Chessnut Go, a chess 'e-board'. It is a brand new product from the Chessnut company. Basically, the board is easily portable and has magnetic pieces. However, the fun part is that it can connect to a phone or computer by bluetooth. When connected, you can open chess.com or lichess and the moves you make on the Chessnut Go board will automatically be made online!  This product is pretty cool, I hope to make a full review of it soon once I've used it. If you have any questions about this product, ask them and I might answer them in my review.

This video is a game from one of GM Naroditsky's many rapid chess speedruns. In these speedruns, Naroditsky starts at 400 elo and gradually climbs the rating ladder. Each video covers 1 or 2 games and analyses of them. This series is an extremely useful learning tool since you can watch how he plays against players at your own rating range, or watch him play an opening you are learning. I encourage you to watch this video, and if you want, share your thoughts afterward!

There is a forced mate from the beginning, but I took a slightly slower but more classy approach. Can you find the tactic and mate?

This is a chess-related forum game. Look at the profile of the person who last commented on this forum topic and comment 'yes' or 'no' (no saying 'draw') depending on whether you think you could beat them in a 3 minute chess game. You can comment multiple times. Make it extra fun by sending actual challenges (3|0 blitz unrated) to see how the matchup would go. If you disagree with how someone assesses your chess ability, challenge them! Of course, you can also just send a challenge to anyone in the forum. If the game turns out to be interesting, you can share it by creating a new forum topic. Have fun!

During the Opening Ceremony, the Olympic Flag was hoisted upside down!  If you were watching, did you catch this mistake?

Once in a blue moon I come across 1. e4 Nf6, the Alekhine's Defense. While the engine doesn't hate this opening too much, most Alekhine players I face really don't know what they are doing, so it is always fun to destroy their weird opening ! Here is a Lichess game I just played. Black literally never had any advantage throughout the game according to the engine, and I played with 98% accuracy! If you are an e4 player, share a game in which you faced 1... Nf6!
Hello everyone! This is the first edition of our club's new forum series 'Chess Video of the Week'! Chess videos, especially ones from masters, have been one of my favorite ways to improve at chess, and they have really impacted the way I play. The purpose of this forum series is to share interesting and educational chess content for you all to enjoy. Hopefully you will also improve from these videos like I have!  This week's video is GM Hikaru Nakamura analyzing a Titled Tuesday Blitz Match between Levy Rozman (Gotham Chess) and GM Naroditsky (my personal favorite GM). I did post the link to this video earlier today in the Notes section; that was what gave me the idea to do this forum series. I hope you enjoy! In the forum comments, please share any thoughts you have about the chess game in the video, the video in general, or what you think about this new forum series!

Punishing a dubious response against the French Defense with a foul mate idea. The opponent resigned before the mate was finished, so I put the moves in. 97% accuracy

The new Willows bot had me wondering what other bots could be in Chess.com. So, who are your favorites singers and bands?

I faced this opening - the Duras Gambit - recently on Lichess. I don't know why someone would play it since there isn't really good compensation for the lost pawn. It didn't appear to be a mouse slip either because the opponent seemed somewhat prepared.  The game didn't last long. I played pretty calmly and the opponent ended up blundering.  Have you ever faced this move? If so, share it if you want

This tactic appeared in a couple of my recent games. This one is from the most recent. It is a good one to know! Please don't post the moves below, give others the chance to solve it
