Just wondering if the club is still active. I saw some pics online that you play in some bar in the weekdays. Thanks.

The chess club is a wonderful opportunity for chess enthusiasts to come together and hone their skills in a friendly and competitive environment. However, the lack of regular chess tournaments has been a source of frustration for many members. Chess tournaments are not only exciting and engaging, but they also provide a platform for members to test their abilities and measure their progress against other players. Therefore, it is important for the organizers of the chess club to consider hosting regular chess tournaments. Regular chess tournaments can create a sense of anticipation and excitement among members, and can encourage more people to join the club. Tournaments can also be an effective way to improve players' skills, as they provide an opportunity to learn from other players' strategies and techniques. Moreover, tournaments can be a great way to build community within the club, as members can bond over their shared passion for chess. By hosting regular tournaments, the organizers of the chess club can provide an enriching and rewarding experience for its members, while also increasing participation and interest in the club.

I just joined the group and it looks like there are a lot of notes of people looking to play chess in and around prospect park... People are leaving those as notes, which I haven't figured out how to respond to so I'm starting this forum. As far as I can tell the chess boards in the park are here: https://goo.gl/maps/SP1r56dhttbM9S9bA (by the public restroom) And nearby at a different park here: https://g.page/dr-ronald-mcnair-park?share I'd be willing to start meeting up with people there. I'm not very good (my chess.com score is inflated because I only really play my friends), but I'm probably around 15-1600. Any takers?

Good Morning everyone! I am proposing a Coup d'état! Our club's super admin hasn't logged in since May and hasn't responded to messages I sent him asking someone else to be made an Admin. This is important because without an active Admin we cant set up matches against other clubs, or events, or tournaments, or... any of the other fun features of clubs! Fortunately, the FAQ on chess.com says that if you all vote in this forum we can replace the Super Admin. So comment on this forum to vote to replace him (or not), and say who you want to replace him with. It could be me, you, or anyone in the club who is active. Once there's a new Super Admin we can make additional Admins so that this doesn't happen again! VOTE!
