Some time ago I discovered this interesting chess variation , called "Komsomol chess " . https://www.chess.com/blog/Spektrowski/komsomol-chess-an-obscure-soviet-chess-variant But so far I haven't seen it as an option to play on chess.com . I really wish that I could have the opportunity to play this with someone though , but it looks as if it might have died out , post cold war .

Hello, comrades, hope all is well. We've been doing pretty well in matches! We're steadily moving up the leaderboard and I see no reason we can't crack the top 1000 within a few months. Keep up the good work. However, I'm concerned about the lack of activity and halted growth of the club. I accept most of the blame for this as I have not been as active myself in the past few months, but I was really hoping that someone would step up by starting some dialogues re Socialism or even just about chess strategy. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I thought the best move after our initial growth spurt would be to take a step into the background and allow users to post content and opinions of their own, as I don't want this to be a bca-dominated club. I can start posting memes and whatnot again, but that's less important to me than getting some dialogue going re Socialism. I am admittedly still new to the political ideology if you will so I often feel that I should not be the one guiding the conversation/debate. Also, I think it's about time I appointed some of yall to admin. Any takers? As long as you've been participating in the matches I will appoint anyone who is willing to accept the light burden. I know I've said this a few times already, but I plan on getting back on the horse re club invites now that I have some more free time now that school it's summer break in America. I think we can grow even faster than we did in the beginning if a few of yall help me out with the invites. 30 per day is not much, after all. Cheers, comrades, and may we bathe in the blood of the bourgeoisie!

To me, Sanders is an enigmatic figure in American politics. The cynic, or perhaps realist, in me sees little to no difference between him and any other Democratic politician. Would I prefer him over Clinton as the Democratic nominee? Yes, if only because of Hillary's past hawkish foreign policies and ties to Wall Street. But I also see Sanders as a sort of phony radical who preaches anti-establishment rhetoric from within the very thing he is criticizing. I don't agree with his self-proclamation that he is a Democratic Socialist. I would categorize him simply as a liberal, and I don't use that term in the pejorative sense like many on the left do (which is fine with me). Even though there is little chance of Sanders winning the nomination, how do you guys view his campaign and the movement surrounding it?
