Club Goals: This club aims to create a positive, supportive, and welcoming community for chess enthusiasts of all skill levels. We focus on game improvement, healthy competition, and enjoying chess together.
Membership:
Membership is free and open to all Chess.com users.
Every member is required to show respect to other members, moderators, and admins.
The club reserves the right to remove members who violate the rules without notice if the violation is serious or repeated.
2. General Etiquette and Conduct
Respect: The use of abusive, insulting, or demeaning language toward other members is strictly prohibited, whether in club chat, forums, or match chat.
No Bullying or Harassment: This club has zero tolerance for any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or hateful content.
Discussion: Keep discussions related to chess or other appropriate topics and avoid offense. Avoid politics, religion, or other sensitive topics.
Promotion: Excessive promotion of clubs, groups, or other products without permission from the club admin is prohibited.
3. Game and Tournament Rules
Cheating: The use of chess engines, books, or other external sources during rated matches or official club tournaments is strictly prohibited.
Members found violating Chess.com's cheating policy will be immediately removed from the club.
Tournament Participation:
Members are encouraged to participate in club tournaments (whether daily, live, or vote chess).
Tournament participants are required to complete all their matches. Do not withdraw without a valid reason early in a match or leave a tournament midway through.
Vote Chess: If the club holds Vote Chess, members must participate seriously and thoughtfully. Discussion regarding the best course of action should take place in the forum provided.
4. Violations and Sanctions
Minor Violations: (e.g., slightly inappropriate language, light spamming) – A verbal or written warning will be issued by an admin/moderator.
Moderate Violations: (e.g., aggressive chat, repeated spamming, resigning from a tournament without reason) – Members will be temporarily suspended from chat or removed from the tournament.
Serious Violations: (e.g., cheating, harassment, racism, threats) – Members will be immediately and permanently removed from the club.
