🟦 TOWN ROLES (Good Guys)Goal: Eliminate all evildoers (Mafia, Neutral Killers, etc.)
🔍 InvestigativeThese roles gather info at night to find the bad guys.
Sheriff – Checks one person per night. Finds out if they're suspicious (evil) or not. Can detect Serial Killers and Mafia but may miss Godfather or framed players.Investigator – Learns a vague clue about a player’s role group (e.g., “Your target could be a Bodyguard, Godfather, or Arsonist”). Needs deduction.Lookout – Watches someone at night to see who visits them. Useful for catching killers or finding out who’s protecting whom.Spy – Sees Mafia chat and who the Mafia visited. Also sees whispers and jail actions. Helps confirm Mafia activity.Tracker – Follows a person and sees who they visited (but not what they did). Useful for hunting down killers.Psychic – Each night gets a list of 3 players, with at least one of them being evil (early game), then a smaller list of confirmed evils (later). ⚔️ KillingThese are offensive Town roles that can kill evildoers.
Jailor – Can jail one person each night, preventing them from acting. Can execute them inside jail. Strongest early-game Town killer, but if they kill a Townie, they lose their ability.Vigilante – Has a gun. Can shoot someone at night. If they shoot a good guy, they die from guilt.Veteran – Can go on alert at night and kill anyone who visits them. Can be dangerous to both Town and Mafia if used poorly. 🛡️ ProtectiveThese roles save others from being killed.
Doctor – Heals one person each night. If the person is attacked, they survive.Bodyguard – Guards someone. If that person is attacked, the Bodyguard dies instead and takes the attacker with them.Trapper – Can set a trap at a house. Trap reveals the visitor’s role and can kill attackers. Takes one night to set up. 🧰 SupportThey help Town by controlling the battlefield.
Mayor – Can reveal during the day to gain triple voting power. Cannot be healed. Becomes a Mafia magnet once revealed.Escort – Roleblocks someone each night, stopping their action. Very useful to shut down Mafia or Killers.Transporter – Swaps two people. If someone tries to kill or target one, it hits the other instead. Chaos role.Retributionist – Can bring one dead Town role back to life. Usually best saved for bringing back a killer like Jailor or Vigilante.Medium – Can talk to the dead at night. Late game, they can reveal Mafia info passed on by dead players. 🟥 MAFIA ROLES (Bad Guys)Goal: Kill the Town until the Mafia outnumber all other players.
💼 Core MafiaGodfather – Mafia leader. Appears innocent to the Sheriff. Orders kills if Mafioso is dead. If Mafioso is alive, they do the killing.Mafioso – Mafia attacker. Carries out the kills. Becomes the Godfather if the Godfather dies.Consigliere – Investigative role for Mafia. Learns someone’s exact role each night.Consort – Mafia version of Escort. Roleblocks people. Very useful for stopping Jailors, Doctors, or other threats.Framer – Makes someone look evil to the Sheriff and gives misleading results to Investigators.Blackmailer – Silences someone during the next day so they cannot talk. Great for disrupting Town coordination.Janitor – Cleans a body when a Mafia kill happens. The role of the dead person is hidden from everyone else. Only Janitor knows.Disguiser – Takes on the appearance of someone they kill, confusing the Town (rarely used in basic Mafia setups).Forger – Alters someone’s will if they die that night, spreading misinformation. ⚫ NEUTRAL ROLES (Wildcards)These can win independently and don’t belong to Town or Mafia.
☠️ Neutral KillingTheir job is to kill everyone else.
Serial Killer – Kills one person each night. Immune at night. Kills Roleblockers and Jailors who try to stop them.Arsonist – Douses people in gas without killing. On a later night, can ignite all doused players at once. Super dangerous if left unchecked.Werewolf – Kills one target and everyone visiting that target. Can only act every other night. Destroys large groups at once.Juggernaut – Starts weak but gets stronger with each kill. Each successful kill unlocks new abilities like night immunity or multi-attacks. 🎭 Neutral EvilThese cause chaos but don't kill directly (usually).
Executioner – Has one target. Wins if their target is lynched. If the target dies at night, they become a Jester.Jester – Wants to be lynched by the Town. If lynched, they get to kill one of the guilty voters at night.Witch – Controls someone each night and forces them to visit another player. Doesn’t directly kill but can mess up strategies. 🟢 Neutral BenignThese just want to survive or help someone.
Survivor – Has a vest for protection. Just wants to live till the end. Can side with anyone.Amnesiac – Remembers a dead role and becomes that role. Wildcard with potential to flip the game.Guardian Angel – Assigned to protect one player. Wins if they survive. Can side with Mafia or Town depending on who they protect.Pirate – Challenges someone to a duel each night. If they win, they kill their target. Wins by dueling and surviving.
