Kabayan, ang Team Philippines Live Chess (TPLC) ang kumakatawan sa ating bayan sa Live Chess World League (LCWL) live tournaments dito sa Chess.com. Sa LCWL Season 4 noong isang taon, ang ating Team (TPLC) ang nag-champion Sa Div. 3. Tinalo natin ang Team Bosnia and Herzegovina sa championship game bukod sa mga nauna na nating tinalo – Canada, England, Brazil, Bangladesh, Italy, and Venezuela. 61 ang players na naglaro sa bawat team. Ang score ay 65 – 57. Dahil tayo ang nag-champion, na promote ang TPLC sa Division 2. Sa Season 5 ngayon taon, nag-champion muli tayo. Mas mabibigat na team ang ating iginupo na kumatawan sa Slovakia, Romania, USA, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Mexico. Mas marami ang chess masters nila pero natalo natin silang lahat. Tinalo natin sa championship game ang Team Bosnia and Herzegovina sa score na 66 - 34. 50 lahat ang naglaro sa bawat team. Dahil dito, na-promote muli tayo. Ngayon nga ay nasa Division 1 na tayo kung saan sobrang heavyweight ang mga makakalaban nating mga team mula sa Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Serbia, Kazakhstan, France, at Peru. Ito ay alang-alang sa karangalan at prestihiyo ng ating Bayan, incidental na lang ang TPLC. Layunin din ng Team na maipagmalaki ng ating bansa ang mga manlalarong Pinoy sa chess. Here are chess principles and chess tips.1. Develop your pieces quickly.2. Control the center.3. Put your pieces on squares that give them maximum space.4. Try to develop your knights towards the center.5. A knight on the rim is dim.6. Don’t take unnecessary chances.7. Play aggressive.8. Calculate forced moves first.9. Always ask yourself, “Can my opponent put me in check or win a piece?”10. Have a plan. Every move should have a purpose.11. Assume your opponent’s move is the best move.12. Ask yourself, “Why did he move there?” after each move your opponent makes.13. Play for the initiative and controlling the board.14.
