I used to tilt a lot in blitz and I never got higher than 1000. After I did, I started to get better and I put a lot of thought into moves. I shifted my focus from bullet (which decreased from 1600 to 1500) to blitz and rapid. This way, I can improve my understanding of "chess" from playing fast to playing quality games.
