Taoism

One of the best, marvellous and famous chess game ever played

And as arsen4uk said, it was a blindfold game of Morphy

What more could you ask for?

The Marriage of Figaro was composed in 1786 by the wonderful Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Which was 100 years before this game. This opera performed in France was known to stir hatred between the lower and upper classes!

Lawdoginator

I think the Opera that night was Norma, not that it matters much.

Lawdoginator

Truly, the best game of chess ever played!  Like Murali said, like being in heaven.

I will never get tired of watching this particular game. It is a "must watch" for anybody who wants to see how chess can be played, it's very inspiring.

Black's best chance to stay in the game was 4...Nd7! 5.exd6 Bxd6 with a Pawn less but a safe, well-developed position.  4...Nc6? is a mistake because of 5.exd6 Bxd6 6.Bb5! etc.
