2 Minutes Extremely Reasonable

Listen, I know many here play bullet, love fast pace games, but... this is very very new and, don’t you think to be more inviting to newbies that find out about this Fantastic New Addition to Chess.com there should at least be another added minute?

I know a lot here wish to rush their game, but I am rather upset that I had to with my past device I used to have and was conditioned to have to quickly move or it would lock my screen, therefore forced to blitz 5 minute ones if not an insane 1 minute’r and it forced me to move quick, though I so rather E N J O Y a ‘game’ and not some rush to see who can do the most damage with the little silly time given!

It seems quite FAIR to have AT LEAST 2 small minutes.. Yes, there’s a slight lapse before each move that does help, but IT MOST CERTAINLY WOULD were we given the totally sensible extra SMALL minute..

Please forgive me if I’m sounding too much of griping, you guys have made an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ADDITION TO THIS SITE but I do fEEl it can be SO MUCH MORE (lol AWESOME’R) were we to have the very least one more minute, P L E A S E..

This game SHOULD not be so rushed. For crying out loud there’s lol like a total of 3 boards instead of just one.. c’mon

When we get up to around 1000 players online we can start testing additional time controls. I count on you to remind us, @ThePEPSIChallenge. The time controls we test will include slower, as you are hoping to see, but also faster. The pacing of this game is on par with a Rapid game. But there are many who prefer the blitz pace. We will test both.

With 1000 players online, ignoble means the amount of players logged into 4 player chess (see screenshot right top corner)

1|15 is still not quite rapid, is it really 1|15? feels like 1|10. Still more like a slow blitz or fast rapid game. The current time control is quite good.

As I said before of course to many that love bullet they are happy only the minute, but the rest of what I stated is OP and explains how others who care to enJOY their game and not rush like mad it, an additional single minute most certainly is not asking much, sir.

In one sense this is true, another sense not so much. While the time between my moves is 'pretty long' (says the guy who usually plays three day chess)... the time between *the player right before me* and my move is still short. And the amount of looking around the board to see where things are at is pretty complex.

Another *real* advantage of longer time controls, especially really long time controls, like daily chess, combined with the keeping of records of games, would be a huge increase in the power to analyze games. Let's face it most chess books are not written concerning how people play bullet chess, eh? It's fun to watch, but isn't the gourmet stuff.

For me, this time control is even slow, but I assume the sprinters have a meeting with the marathons in it.
