Ok no Essex, thanks for letting me know =Only 17 teams will mean only two teams in the preliminary round.
Preliminary Round: I have drawn two teams at random for the Preliminary Round.
Worcestershire v Dorset.
Please arrange the match and post the link here, the deadline for the match beginning will be Jan 10th. To give time after the Xmas period, but please start before if both teams are ready. Round 1 will begin when one team has a winning margin. Thanks.

Hi I should have thought of this earlier but we need a rule in place incase matches end in a draw, there will be no time for replays, so I suggest in a case of a draw we use board elimination. Eg the results of the bottom board will be taken away, if this still doesn't solve the problem then the next board up is eliminated.

Matt - is the number of players for the Cup games the same as in the league (4 I think??).

Ok, Devon can claim the win if they wish.
Worcestershire have now achieved a winning margin against Dorset, so match 7 can now be set up, please lock by the end of April. Thank you.

I intend to organise a cup competition for 2016. Assuming we have 18 teams the format will run as follows:
1)Preliminary Round - To start early January - 4 teams chosen at random will take part- with exception of the winners of Groups A and B in 2015 who will be playing their play-off match. The draw will be available mid December 2015.
Round 1: to start when all a winning margin has been achieved in all the preliminary round matches. (2 winning teams plus the remaining 14 teams)
Round 2: 8 teams
Semi Final 4 teams
Final. 2 teams
This competition may well run into 2017. A new competition will only start when this one is complete.
If any team doesn't want to take part please let me know.
All fixtures and results will be posted in this forum.
