Devon v Cumbria Round 1

I am sorry but I am going to have to impose a finishing date of 21st August on the match above, at which point I will judge the final game in play and decide who goes through to round 2. Sorry this needs to be done as this match is holding all the others up and it wasn't set up as 2 concurrent games.

I hope you understand and that this is acceptable.

Devon and Cumbria draw 3-3 but Cumbria progress after the result of the final board is elimated.

Cup round 2 update - Sussex have won against Worcs. Gloucestershire progress against Leinster as Leinster didn't have an active admin at the time. Yorkshire beat Renfrewshire as board 2's result is reversed due a player being found to be cheating by chess.com. Bucks v Cumbria still in play.

I have been preoccupied recently by personal issues so haven't been able to to do much more than make my own moves. Things are looking clearer now for me.

Really sorry for the situation with Renfrewshire. Very frustrating for the majority of honest players. Hope it improves for you Alba and good luck.

Still waiting on the final game in the Bucks v Cumbria match to finish.  If Cumbria win the remaining game the match will be drawn but Cumbria will progress after the results on boards 5 and 4 are eliminated.  Any other result Bucks progress.  I am now setting a deadline of Jan 29th for the game to finish so the 2016 and 2017 competitions can progress.  I hope this is acceptable.  I am going to suggest a 4 month rule for the remaining matches in the 2016 and 2017 cup, eg 4 months after the start date, any remaining games will be judged on position.  Thanks Matt
