We have a Nottinghamshire team interested in taking part. Since we are in a time of many new teams, I would be willing to add up to 2 teams to the competition, since they can be added with no disruption and just a minor rejig of the schedule.

This opportunity can only be extended to two new teams (Notts being one) and only until the end of May, as past that we’d be disrupting ongoing fixtures. If anyone has any objections to that, or would like to take the final spot in the competition, speak now.

May i suggest Leicester and Rutland to be the other team.

In that case, Notts and Leics & Rutland will take the last spots. I will draw and schedule both tomorrow, with their first fixtures in June.

I don't know how I've been surprised by this, given that I made them, but I was sure there are 3 groups in this tournament. Turns out there are 4. I promise I am professional and competent.

Anyway, that means there is actually one last extra bonus spot for one last team, if anyone wants to take it in the next 10 days.

Since Cheshire have only reached 2 players, Glamorgan can claim victory.

Yes unfortunately I just couldn’t get the players 😒

Sadly, Glamorgan would like to claim the win in our match vs Cheshire.

Somerset Wyvern are over the line in their match against the Channel Islands. 5.5 points scored in the 5 board match.

Ulster can claim victory in the June match against Cheshire after Cheshire have only 2 players: https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1131146

Can I withdraw Cheshire?  They are consistently failing to get the minimum despite news posts and individual messages.

Yeah we’d like to claim victory- can i cancel that match now?

Avatar of aj-read

Yes, you can cancel the match.

And yes, if you don’t think you’ll get anymore uptake you can withdraw Cheshire. I think it’s bad luck cos it seems like most of your regulars are over 1600.

Yes I know. We seem to be ok with the open rated but just not the U1600

Norfolk’s challenge to Cheshire was rejected.  I am guessing they have pulled out of the competition.

Challenge sent from Essex to the Channel Islands for the U1600 and another challenge sent for the division 3 match between the same 2 teams.
