Division 1

Please use this forum for all matters relating to Division 1. The team links and the 2021 fixtures can be found below. The results and tables can be found by clicking this link: CC21 League Results

The minimum number of players for a division 1 match is 10 but please aim for more. 

The aim is for 3 teams to be relegated.  But this could change depending on entries in 2022. 

Usually there will be one match per month, the fixtures will be published in December.  Challenges should be sent only after the instruction is received in a news item.  This will usually be sent on the 26^th of the previous month and the start date for matches will be set at 7^th of the month.  An exception to this will be the first fixture in December, and there will be 2 fixtures in March.  Either team can send the challenge.  If a team does not have enough players on the day the match is due to start then they will be given one extra week to find the extra players. After this week is up the opposing team can choose to claim the match by default.

• Days per Move: 3
• Rating Range: Min: none; max: none
• Minimum Games: 0
• Players per Club: Min: 10 Max: leave free
• Concurrent Games: 2
• Start Date:  7^TH of the month (except for December and when a month has two matches) 
• Start Time: any time you like
• AUTO-START: off

One R1 match to set up: Team Gloucestershire v Team Sussex (Started)

All R1 games in registration. 3 days to start. Just one game that has not reached 10 board minimum.

The Sussex vs Gloucestershire game started without me locking the Gloucestershire Team, as we had only 9 players and the rules state we would have an extra week to find more players if required Tricky Dicky. How can this be?

I think the settings must have been wrong.  I think 10 was put in minimum games instead of players.  If both teams agree I am happy for the match to go ahead as is.  If either team objects then please send another challenge and start over, but there is no way of aborting the original match now it has started.  

Could I suggest a minor edit to the original post in 'Match Name':

"e.g., “CC21  Div1 Yorkshire Terriers vs Team Sussex”)"

to include an example round number too.  I copy pasted the example then edited it for my latest challenge and almost missed that I needed to add in the round number too.
