Hello, all! Welcome to a standalone match of default Witch and Guard, played by contestants @Aronian22 and @DukeofHelsinki.

White: Aronian22

Black: DukeofHelsinki

Rules of Bulldog Correspondence apply to this match, with one exeptions: 3-days before calling Time Warning. This rule applies flexibly in this match. As reported, players have real-life endeavors and heavy schedules to handle and may be away for longer. As a standalone piece, the match is not in a hurry to get done with. Please try not to take too long, and likewise, the player who is waiting is kindly asked to please be lenient.

If you have to be away for somewhat more than three days, please communicate it ahead of time.

Outcome of match will be reported back to @Martin0, @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya or @Puzzles for rating adjustments.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will typically render diagrams after 1 pair of moves (1 black move, 1 white move); though, as many as 2 pairs of moves (black-white-black-whitr move) can be made without a diagram. After that, please call "Waiting for Board" or "WFB".
Diagrams will reflect a pair of moves at a time.
Diagrams will be rendered from the perspective of White (@Aronian22), though secondary diagrams from Black's (@DukeofHelsinki's) perspective will also be provided.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The match will officially begin, once White (@Aronian22) makes his/her first move. Good luck to both players! =)

Black, none of your pieces from your current position can legally move/capture on e4. Please restatue your move; after which the second set of moves will be rendered in the proceeding diagram.

DukeOfHelsinki

wait sorry e6 was looking from wrong side of board

BattleChessGN18

lol @Evert823 has caught me a few times in a row reading from some bizarre board that wasn't ours....

No, I'm kidding. He did, however, caught me 3 times in a row notating my intended move wrong; due to misfiguring files and ranks by looking at the opposite perspective view.
