I just thought we should have a list of 'official' variants and pieces used in bulldog chess. By official I mean they have been used in at least one or two games. Bulldog Chess Bulldog Legacy Bulldog w/Witch Bulldog w/Spirit Bulldog w/Hunter Bulldog w/Cat and Mouse I am 100% certain I am missing several. I can also add the rules for each piece here.

This is a rated bulldog match between @JamesAgadir (White) and @comradM (Black). It is part of the Bulldog Classic Tournament. Time control is 3 days/per move, three 24-hour time warnings, and one 14-day vacation, each refreshing every 40 moves. I just want to say that I don't mind loosening up those rules if @comradM want to (like giving extra time for a time warning...); I'd just want to agree on it before the match starts. This isn't a targeted comment, I've just recently had the idea of asking because people seem to have varied expectations around the time control and how it's enforced For the boards, we'll make it when we can seems to be the plan. I have white for the first game of the match up it seems. So I go 1. e4

White: @comradM Black: @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya This is the second game of a rated 2-game match. Standard BulldogTime controls for this match:2 days per move, only 1 time warning (second time warning is a loss)no vacation in the first 40 moves.after the first 40 moves: normal 14-day vacations for every 40 moves

It cannot be denied that there is growing interest in Bulldog tournements(*) with longer time controls. So that you can be offline for some time, without your opponent reminding you every year that you are still in the middle of a Bulldog game. For example to climb a couple of high mountains, train for a tria-marathon, or whatever it is that would not combine well with cooking up a decent Bulldog move. So that's why I'm setting this up now.Time control: 2 months per move. The 30th time warning is a loss. There are 30 spots, but we can start when we have 16 players.Frankly I hope to see the first sign-ups in 2028. Type join to participate. (*) My LLM has predicted that 'tournement' will be the correct spelling by the end of 2054.

This is a rated Bulldog game between @GraysonKellogg (white) and @evert823 (black) If you prefer a different initial position, for example including another variant piece, you can say so before doing your first move. Have fun and good luck!

I've made two videos showing my screen. Download and open the editor:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IENmVioWwwA How to use the board editor:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNEtk9BIBII So for people who have issues with the board editor, you can check if you're doing it the same way as shown here.

I think I've found a solution that makes editing boards easy to do with just word, google docs or even libre office (maybe even any text editors, I haven't tested). Basically you just download/copy this google drive document (https://docs.google.com/document/d/123G50rdaIbU8QtCPwjQxYEch9yWBgDbd/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=113385079186459877844&rtpof=true&sd=true) and you can then drag around the pieces. The advantages are that: - It's fast and doesn't require skill, you just drag and drop stuff - You don't need to run a .exe so very low risks of a virus - You can use whatever tech you want, or even your browser (not sure if it's good on phones though) How to use: - click on/copy this link https://docs.google.com/document/d/123G50rdaIbU8QtCPwjQxYEch9yWBgDbd/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=113385079186459877844&rtpof=true&sd=true  - click on files>download>select .docx (or your editor of choice) OR files>copy to use in google drive  - Allow editing, drag pieces to the squares you want. You can use arrow keys to move it precisely in word - If you want to add other common pieces copy the lower image then just use the crop tool to resize the image For analysis you can move the piece and then just click ctrl+Z a few times to reach your original position Sorry if the pieces are a bit off center, they're set up for word, I might edit that laterI'm proud of the idea and wanted to share the tool, not sure if it's really needed though. I know that I'm going to make use of it at the very least. Feedback is welcome and I could add new pieces if you post an image

The bracket system is to be determined by the number of participants and will be announced once registration closes. The setup will be Bulldog Classic with a witch and guard. I decided to create a seperate forum for this so others can easily access it. I want to respect Martin's ratings as well so if he comes back he can of course take back the mantle (:. This forum is only for rating changes I made so they can be considered differently. @comradM 1469 1-0 @BattleChessGN18 1200 @evert823 1347 0-1 @Marks1420 1583 @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya 1305 1-0 @comradM 1486 @Puzzles 1250 0-1 @KapitalP_Pro (1200) @Marks1420 1603 0-1 @Puzzles 1225 @Puzzles 1316 0-1 @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya 1379 I tried to arrange these in chronological order please let me know if I made a mistake. I was almost finished but realized I made an error so I had to start over and didn't focus too much on this part above. @evert823 - 1347 -> 1327 Calculated from 1 game. A loss against @Marks1420 @Marks1420 - 1583 -> 1603 -> 1512 Calculated from 2 games, with a win against @Evert823 being before a loss against @Puzzles @Puzzles (Formerly known as @4playerspeed, then known as @Pootzies - 1250 -> 1225 -> 1316 -> 1274 Calculated from 3 games, A loss to @KapitalP_Pro, A victory against @Marks1420 and a loss to @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya @ComradM 1469 -> 1486 -> 1412 Calculated from the win against @BattleChessGN18 and the Loss to @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya @VM_LeaderAbhyudaya 1305 -> 1379 -> 1419 Calculated from beating @ComradM and then @Puzzles @KapitalP_Pro 1200 -> 1257 Calculated from beating @Puzzles @BattleChessGN18 1200 -> 1200 The parts I put after the rating changes are in chronological order for which the games took place. If you spot any mistakes feel free to let me know.
This game between @evert823 and @Marks1420 is part of the classic tournament https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/bulldog-classic-tournament If I'm not mistaken I was supposed to play white. Enjoy! 1. e4
