Cool
2026 WoF Challenge: Lots of Luft
Utopia RP6-7 is one of the example
its literally not, its a 6x6
there are no (real) examples of this challenge are there?
Luft is german for air wtf
i meant to put that in the title, because a bigger board with less pieces is lots of space, which is a synonym for air, so it all makes sense
Luft is german for air wtf
Luft is also norwegian for air
Air is also French for air
1.B&W scheme doesn't change anything but most use 4P so you are not letting in potentially a lot of submissions.
2. Max possible bullet tc is 2|2D

you know B&W is not just for aesthetic purposes right?
have you checked out stretch? (yes ik its in 4pc but whatever…)
it is UR, i was asking for ACCEPTED examples
As we all know, WoFs have a very small board, and even if they don't, the color scheme is 4PC (such as in Pac-Chess or Inside the Horror Night). So, I decided to make this challenge, with 4 rules.
1. Must be a board above 6x6 or 8x8 size on BOTH the x and y axis.
2. The color scheme must be B&W.
3. It can have less pieces, just like a usual WoF, or more, which very few accepted WoF variants have.
4. The max time control is the usual max, 2 | 2D.
5. It shouldn’t steal names for other WOFs or NCVs, whether these WOFs or NCVs are competitor variants or not!
Have fun! (I don't think there are any accepted examples yet, if there are, tell me down in the comments below!)
competitor variants:
WOF - Stretch (Exceptional) (VW)
WOF - Guard Baiting (Exceptional) (VW)
WOF - Wof of Why tell me (Requirements not met) (VW)
WOF - Please Don't Take Me Away (VU)
WOF - Amazon Chase (Exceptional) (VW)
WOF - Promotion Sanctuary (VW)
the color identifier for the info of competitive variants:
Exceptional labels are yellow. Exceptional labels are used when a WOF submission of this challenge’s color scheme is 4PC instead of B&W or board size is or is smaller than 8x8 and 6x6 but other rules still apply.
VU labels are green. VU labels are used when a WOF submission of this challenge is submitted in VU.
VW labels are blue. VW labels are used when a WOF submission of this challenge is submitted in VW.
Requirements Not Met labels are purple. Requirements Not Met labels are used when a WOF submission of this challenge’s time control and variant type don’t match each other’s requirements. (NCV’s time control is 60 | 60D and/or less. WOF’s time control is 2 | 2D and/or less.)
And, a competitor variant may only have up to 2 of the tags above, 1 for the rule classifier, (Exceptional) or (Requirements not Met), and 1 for where it was submitted, (VU) or (VW), OR just 1 for where it was submitted, (VU) or (VW).
Overall, I hope you enjoy the challenge and make submissions!
