I think this should be posted in the 4 Player Chess club.
4 Player Chess - disable chat in Team games?
@chadnilsen Thanks for your suggestion!
I am so used to posting observations and suggestions in this group, that it didn't dawn on me to post this in the 4 Player Chess group. I will do that now.
@chadnilsen I posted here first because support staff follow this group quiet efficiently and thought they would see my suggestion more promptly, which is why I came here first. In addition, one of the purposes of Chess.com Beta group is to gain feedback regarding the site and add suggestions where appropriate. I do believe this is a good place to post considering the subject matter, in order to get feedback from a broader group of people. Although, I do agree, the 4 Player group is more specific to the topic at hand.
@jdcannon Thank you!
Based on the suggestion from @chadnilsen I did post the same question in the 4 Player Chess group. Link to that post is below if you would like to reference.

@jdcannon I guess @BabYagun "beat you to the punch"!
In all serious though, it's great to see how coordinated and dedicated the staff on Chess.com is. Whether FT or PT, you are all collectively working together as a team! ![]()

In FFA (Free-for-All) games you can choose to deactivate chat for everyone by typing "/stop-chat".
However, in Team games, there doesn't appear to be the same option. I believe there should be an option to disable chat in Team games only between you and your opponents, but still be able to communicate with your partner.
I have played closed to 300 Team games and have noticed the occasional opponent that chooses to use derogatory language to insult either myself, my opponent, or in some cases both of us, without any provocation or justification.
The average player(s) I've played against in Team games either doesn't talk in "all chat" or has been quite cordial, congratulating their opponent(s) after the game, regardless if they won or lost the match.
As with Live Chess and other such formats of games on this site, I do believe it would be a welcomed feature if it was implemented.
