i think what OP means is that it is a 9x9 board, 2nd rank is pawns, 1st rank is RNBQKXBNR where X is the piece that can move two square horizontally or vertically i forgot what it was called tho

no. the dabbaba jumps to the 2nd square. i think that piece would move like a rook limited to only 2 squares

if it says 2x then moving 1x is not allowed

sits opposite of queen. moves like a rook. exception being it has to move like a rook 2x in left or right and up or down.
