Abt. Enpassant premove

Avatar of Qienie

Hello,

In a game i premoved thinking the opponent is going to conduct enpassant and game also made the square as red, thinking that there will be a take. But opponent did not enpassant and yet my premove still has been done. Is there a way to solve this? I mean if it is not a take, normally game wouldn’t allow the move. But in enpassant it is different i suppose. Did anyone came on to this?

Thanks.

well normally when you premove, what your opponent plays doenst matter except if what they played would prevent the move you premoved

it has always been like that in all cases a premove is going to play no matter what except if what i said earlier

This is correct. Premoves are moves to a square, not captures. So if your opponent does something completely different than expected, your piece will move there, unless the move is illegal.
