but without much context not many are gonna know what the flag represents, me included, i guess the 7 circles are the 7 continents
i like the idea of earth flag but IMO the current international flag sells the concept better
not trying to debate or anything and i also like earth having 1 flag but for chess it just doesn't fit

Yeah, a brief explanation of the video and context would help. I am not going to watch the video (no time), so yeah. Odd, but, interesting idea.
Also, I guess you didn't hear, but, we actually have 8 continents now. The 8th is off of Australasia and was discovered earlier this year.

Among many other aspects, the ted tak is about what it represents, who implemented it already and chess.com could be among the firsts that recognises and actively supports the ideology behind it by adding it to the options with a bit of explanation.
I think it fits perfectly. Chess.com is one of the very few things that bring together and connect the whole planet.
I love the US flag and if chess.com makes everyone have an international flag I will be dissapointed. Patriotism to each country is kind of part of chess no matter where you are from and if you have a country's flag, you are playing for that country in a way.

I recently joined Beta and love the interface, especially the new and customizable sidebar.
I like there's an international option for a flag, and here's an even better one represents much more than just being international.
Chess.com seems to like to stand behind and support meaningful initiations and this is a very much positive one.
Add the Flag of Planet Earth as an option for a flag.
