I suggested this a while back ago and the reply was that 4 Player Chess wasn't fully released, but not is has and now can you add how much points the people have on their page with the rest of the variants.

@NintendoMaster853 - 4 player chess still isn't 'fully released', it's still in beta (and a POC). We just added the link on the navigation for easy access. Once it is fully integrated, we will add ratings accordingly.

Given the amount of time and dedication any staff member puts into coding 4-player chess it's beyond senseless for you to categorize 4-player chess as a "POC" especially since it works over 90% of the time perfectly fine.

Empire, I think there is a bit of a which came first chicken or egg? deal here. In Beta there is still (*I think) a lot of flush out before it becomes really ready for prime time. That said a good portion of it is they need many more players to flush out some of the things that will allow it to be ready.
I do know the developer(s) have been pretty straight and clear with there message to-date in that this is still in Beta (what I call it happy.png  but I think its less than that officially) and things can and will probably change along with other things being added when they get to that point of the development. It's only been about 2 months that I'm aware of this has been in test mode here so things are going quickly (based on my world of quick happy.png

@EmpireCityRay - maybe not a POC anymore. But it's still in beta and still has lots of work to be done.

I hear you but for an individual to call what this website calls a "prototype" a piece of crap disparages the work the developers have done thus far.  it's even more of a slight given that individual who posted that comment is a staff member -talk about teamwork at its best *sarcasm*  Renegade think about it be it developmental-prototype-beta or even in the future a release candidate, 4-player chess today works amazingly excellent.  If that portion of this website had several crashes, pieces that would not move consistently and several issues I'd call it a piece of crap or agree.  But the truth is it works with minimal issues.  There are apps in beta or pre-release that are pieces of crap as they have a boatload of bugs needing to be reported but 4-player? nah.  This site as V3 is liable to find more issues than any list one can write of 4-player chess so "POC" it's not.  (Best regards to you.)

@EmpireCityRay - I think you completely misunderstood me. When I said POC, I meant 'proof of concept'.

SnowyTheWolf

oh, so now I feel stupid now

SnowyTheWolf

I think I'll stop making stupid forums

Renegade_Yoda

LOL I got a good chuckle out of this thread thank you all happy.png  the laugh was much needed and my belly hurts from it happy.png

I guess I can add to the confusion as I was to lame to not ask what POC meant happy.png I just figured it was some technical term like Beta but maybe one version less refined haha.

Overall I think when you take out all the misunderstanding we all agree happy.png
I do want to 2nd, 3rd the amazing work/job/product that chess.com has brought to the table and how solid it is right now!!

SnowyTheWolf

Makes no difference to me. I still am a stupid person making stupid forums. (I'm just going to say "stupid" over and over again because I don't ever say curse words, EVER)
