Admin issues for noisy players

I don't know what the difference is between "Ban" and "Kick Out" for players whom are disruptive.

I selected "Ban", as I wanted to 'mute' the player from posting in group/club notes and other forum threads.  It appears this player has been Banned from the group/club now.

What's the difference between Ban & Kick Out???   Seems like the same end-result to me.  I much prefer a MUTE function to keep the player active in the roster, but not permitted to speak up and disrupt the peace.

Bans are permanent (unless lifted by the admin), but kick-outs don't stop someone from re-joining/re-applying.

But I would also love to see a mute feature. happy.png

Feature request: Please engineer in a Mute feature for Admin to use.

Understood. So, they can participate in some ways, but not post? What would be restricted if Muted: forums, comments, notes?

Yes--don't permit them to do anything but enlist in matches or read other forum posts.  No ability to post in group Notes, Forums, News feeds, Match comment sections, and other places.

My only point of contention would be Vote Chess, but I think there, too, the Mute should be enforced.

Strongly agree! Such a "mute" feature would be very handy to have at your disposal as a team admin.

Mute and guns sounds scary! People that feels free act more responsible. If a game is that serious, it isn't a game anymore. Maybe you might rate depression in a country by suicide and forced mental treatment. Freedom has many aspects. Anyway, I guess the brain works better with a true smile on the face, and that this makes chess players seem very serious.

I'm glad things are so rosy and cheery for the people of Sweden.  👍
