Have you played checkers? You might like it. It is a very similar idea.

all-pawn games are very lengthy and its only redeeming quality is possibilities for zugzwangs, and pawn games only have zugzwang ideas for 1% of the game -- the rest is just shuffling.

the thing is, zugzwangs are present in other chess variants and are more common in them than all pawn chess. I can guarantee you that if you submit it with just normal pawns and a king, it's going to get declined so fast.

That might be a bad idea because I think one of the sides either black or white have a higher chance of winning.

You should make the board XXL chess size and add more variety of pieces. Otherwise, it will be pretty boring and dull.
