But I don't understand what you're trying to say.
Don't start a sentence with but 😈
Is there an actual rule that states this?

No, but there is a high chance that your sentence will be wrong because you need to put a comma in between(somewhere?) and most people tend to forget
My computer (or browser?) has a grammar-checking feature, which just adds a blue line under a grammatical error. When I start a sentence with "So" it tells me I need a comma. But if I say "But" it doesn't correct me. (See what I did there?)

i think there is something like that. ive been taught to use however to start a sentence instead of but. same with starting on and.
I feel physical pain in my head whenever I see an unneeded apostrophe.
I don't see an unneeded apostrophe here.
