White, 6.Qd3 is legally not possible from this position.

VM_LeaderAbhyudaya

Is there any penalty for illegal moves like in OTB, @BattleChessGN18?

BattleChessGN18

There is not.

If you notice one from your opponent, kindly inform him/her; and ask to make an alternate move.

(Almost always, illegal moves are innocently mis-stated legal moves; or perhaps those based on incomplete knowledge of a piece.)

EDIT - (Board diagram removed, due to faulty error. Please disregard everything you saw of it, so that it doesn't mess up your game play! A new board below will be rendered.)

Rook_Handler

f3

Wait why is the board messed up?

BattleChessGN18

Contestants, as a rare occurrence, the program I'm using may delete a last-saved progress. One contestant pointed out that one of his/her pieces went back to starting position, despite an earlier diagram having shown that was moved out.

Please always double-check that the diagrams are accurate. I do it daily myself, but I may miss an error from time to time.

Rook_Handler

no problem

BattleChessGN18

Wait... @Rook_Handler, I apparently missed your reply.

It happened to your board, too??

Damn.

**Sighs** Let me fix it.

There, fix!! Ay....

(It happened to @Pootzies's and @PandasAwesome board as well. Woman! Why did this have to happen right during a tournament? Ack!!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@Rook_Handler, were you still meaning to make 7.f3 for your next move? I don't know if your move was influenced by the faulty diagram earlier (that's now deleted). If you weren't, this time, I will allow you to make an alternative move; because the fault was mine.
Rook_Handler
Yes, 7. f3 is still a go
BattleChessGN18
Very good.
White's 7.f3 move will be reflected in the following diagram, pending Black's 7... move.
