No need to register. You must be 1600+ with a 1600+ rated partner to play in the Qualifiers. Look for an arena called "2021 Teams W4PCC Qualifier Arena # [##]" and invite your partner to that arena.
Announcing 2021 Online Teams World 4 Player Chess Championships! (DISCUSSION)

Putting it out there before everyone complains about it later: The format where the top 4 teams of each arena play each other makes no sense. I get that you are making those who qualify have to do so by playing at least some strong teams, rather than just winning the arena through good pairings. But making one side blue and green and giving the other red and yellow is just way too much of an imbalance.

Just be good enough to win with blue/green and that's no problem

I mean I'm relatively used to blue and green, so I honestly don't care that much as others probably will, it's more the fact that you blatantly give one side a big advantage at the start.

How do you join these types of 4 player chess championships?

You and your partner as a reminder need to be 1600+ rated in Standard/Rapid Teams.

Thank you all who played in the first qualifier last night and good luck to all those who are playing shortly. Congratulations to @LazyImp and @MegaChief on winning the first qualifier.
As a reminder, it has been written in the handbook that you must not have created your account after August 21, 2021. Closing accounts to create new ones is a NO-NO. If you are one of those people who happened to do this, it is a strong suggestion to request to reinstate your old one.
really quick question what happens if my partner goes <1600 during the arena
Uuh if they go <1600 then you won't be able to invite them...... I don't think even admin's can invite players to a game they are not qualified for.

really quick question what happens if my partner goes <1600 during the arena
It was written in the rules that if a partner leaves <1600 while playing in the arena, then he continues to play!
You just keep inviting a partner.
1600 are needed just for the start!

Everyone,
All Arenas 9-16 are still in effect.
Due to the complexity of the situation, it has been determined that effective this championship and going forward, all W4PCC Teams Championships will be in the Candidates format similar to FIDE. This means that the Defending Champions automatically qualify for the Final against the winning team of the 16-team brackets IF:
1. That defending champion hasn't decided to pick another teammate via the qualifiers.
2. That defending champion hasn't agreed to be chosen as a replacement for another team in the preliminaries.
3. That defending champion hasn’t made a clear statement of withdrawal from the championships.
If a defending champion’s partner has done any of the above three, then the defending champion should be entitled a replacement for the final, who hasn't qualified or have been chosen as a replacement for another team.
As this is a rule change many may be concerned or have questions. This was decided in the best interest of the championship.
Best of luck to teams in the qualifiers this weekend.
