Why did they disqualify someone for having an alternate account, when his substitute has at least 18 alternate accounts?
Announcing the 2022 (Fourth) Online World 4 Player Chess FFA/Solo Championship (DISCUSSION)
Why did they disqualify someone for having an alternate account, when his substitute has at least 18 alternate accounts?

I would like to propose a rule for the championship. It consists in forbidding players to make arrows or point things while playing with the right mouse click.
It seems to me that this is one of the clearest ways for the spectators to recognize some of the players and that this information can eventually reach the players themselves.
I don't know what the rest of the participants think, it just seems to me that it is a rule consistent with the fact that the tournament is anonymous.
In case the rule is introduced, it is most likely that some player will be absent-minded and still do it (even several times), so I do not consider that the penalty should be disqualification (unless he uses the arrows to write his name or something that denotes intention to identify himself).
A simple reminder by some admin in the chat during the game in case it happens I think it would be enough. Knowing the participants I don't think there will be any bad intention in any case.

I am completely against this, the arrows help me to think and visualise things. What you can try to do is make sure observers cannot see the arrows as this a setting each individual is currently able to change if that would put your mind at ease but idk if that is possible to do server side for all.
@Radon I see, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe the solution you say could be an option, but anyway I would not give it much thought, I do not see it as something essential. It had occurred to me as an option but I had not thought about what you say.
Well last year on stream they were revealing the guy who got mated first lol. Just don't do that please. As an spectator i would like to know but if that information reaches any player is a considerable advantage. I like Jose's idea but i think that rule is not the way to go. If you don't wanna be recognized dont draw arrows or play bongcloud
My prediction:
@neoserbian
@Radon
@rojitto
@Cha_ChaRealSmooth
By my estimation, @icystun is still the #1 seed. I wouldn't underestimate his FFA.
I believe a) some moves, b) general style and c) time used are already a very clear indication sometimes.

Hey hey hey, let the people think what they want to think smh
My prediction is that DarksquareBeastMode wins the whole thing. “Let the people think what they want to think.”

My point is that if you underestimate his FFA, you will be in for an unpleasant surprise.

You underestimate my arrogance!
So I appreciate that the arenas were not rated. Why does this change for the semi finals? At this point it's even more clear that rating loss or gain is no incentive in this contest so why make it rated in the first place?

Also, ignore the terms and conditions part where it said "rated". These are all typos. My apologies for the inconvenience. In your congratulations message, it should say "unrated" in those places.

I was waiting for a response like: "Well even in 2pc the WC is rated so it is only reasonable to have the 4pcwc rated too" with which I was ready to respond: "Well in 2pc they also don't randomly change the entire configuration of the pieces without warning and pretend all is well."
I think anyone spectating the games could have a clear suspicion of alting, so many DQs…
