4PC is just a really terrible variant that's not fun to play. Please don't do that, guys.
Any suggestions for S2?

BH and 4PC should be totally separate. Do those for the offseason or something. Keep the normal season with the 4 variants and i think the time controls should be changed to 2 games of 1 min, 2 games of 3min and 2games of 5 min or 3/2.

+1.

Here are my suggestions:
The 6-week regular season should be compromised of chess.com's four individual variants, as well as the two-most voted "favorite" variants in the final two weeks. The playoffs should feature three weeks of team(partner) variants: Bughouse, 4-player chess, and Hand&Brain Chess.
Also, the game demand for each week should only be two games of 3/0, as this is chess.com's default time control for variants. As some variants offer a greater advantage to a certain side, each player should play one game with the white pieces and one game with the black pieces.

Thanks for the response.
I have a Question tho... how can we do hand and brain with no one cheating?

Um, have the players attend a Zoom meeting? I mean, if you use it for the finals only, it can't be too hard to manage.

the only variants with considerable advantage (that chess.com has implemented) for one side are Crazyhouse and 3-check. But no one knows enough theory in order to exploit that.
Determining the playoff participants by zhouse, koth, fr and 3-check but then playing the playoffs with team variants is a bad idea.
Also: I personally really don't like team variants because they depend much more on luck rather than skill.

I respect your opinion, but could you please elaborate on why exactly this is a bad idea?

The skills needed in order to qualify for the playoffs aren't needed in the playoffs. The playoffs need to be played with the same variants as the regular season.

Okay, yeah. That's a legitimate point.

BH depends on the team work skill not on luck but I agree their should be a variant only for playoffs.
Hi all.
We have made a poll saying what new updates we should have and we decided to add some final questions for the season!
