axes look cooler but Swords are more effecient i.e. you need 3 diamonds to make an axe and two to make an axe

PhoenixOfIce484

*sword

also you can use a shield but of course, you could just hit with axe and switch back to sword

1. axes double as wood cutters
2. against a shield, you have to spend time to realise hes shielding, swap to axe, attack, swap to sword, then wait for a full attack bar. with axes that doesnt happen.

attack bar resets when swapped weapen

and also, do you think it will take 10s to realize he's shielding?

precisely why it will take longer to break a shield/youll have to wait for the attack bar and swapping time after breaking a shield

do you think it takes 10 seconds to hit you once?

also, you could just use number keybinds to swap or cycle through using mouse (if your on mobile, sucks to be you)

it wont take 10 seconds to realise im shielding, but it wont take 10 seconds to capitalize on that.

I am very confused on what you mean by "capitalize"

Look guys, here's what a fight between two incredibly skilled players looks like:

Go to 2:16 for the start of the fight. As you can see, swords are the primary weapon, and axes, (which are unenchanted), are mostly used to disable shields. The crossbow and bow are both used.

And yes, these guys are better than Dream, Technoblade and Fruitberries.

(talking about the very first fight) these people are the best of the bests, they 100% know what they're doing. so even the slightest advantage can get them the dub. they also have insanely fast reaction time, which is why they use swords doubled with axes to break shields. they already have the muscle memory and the reaction time to absolutely slap a shield. shields are also far less useful when the other side is ready to lava you if you stay still for half a second. not to say the shield didnt come in useful in the fight. they did block hits. an interesting thing to take away from the fight is that they generally go for the first strike with the axe.
