Are you getting push notifications?

We currently have it where every time your opponent moves it should increment the badge on your iphone. Is this working for you? If not, please let me know.

Works for me! Can not respond as I can not move in online games. No crash.

No the only time the badges updates is if I open the app and close it before making any moves. I double checked and I have Push notifications on, but did not have the "sounds" on just badge on.

Same as with RadioMitch, my badge value updates only when I open & close the app.

Hi, that's my first post here, so first, thank you very much for this great application.

However, push notifications do not work for me. I get notifications only if I open the application first.

Mine don't seem to work either

I just received a push notification, now maybe your working on it Erik, but I did turn the "sound" on so I'm not sure if that changed something.

UPDATE: I turned off the sound and am still getting push notification, so it looks like it is working just fine for me now, thanks.

I just did a little experiment.

I opened the app, and I had 4 games awaiting my move. I quit the app and the badge correctly displayed the number 4.

I then made my move on the website. The badge count on the iPhone app remained at 4. I suppose this is normal, since it happens with Mail - if I receive an e-mail an then read and delete it on my Mac, the notification badge remains on the iPhone until I open the app or receive another notification.

Then my opponent played and I used the app to respond. When I closed the app, the badge correctly displayed 3 pending games. A few minutes later, my opponent made his move and the badge remained at 3. I waited for 5 minutes and there was no change.

So I'm not getting the notifications... Is this because I'm online on the site?

No push and badge update only when I connect the app.

No badges for me either. I have posted in "Notifications - when? how often?" that it should really have alerts added as well so the user has all three option to activate or not: Badges, Alerts, Sounds.

Latest update: I lost the notifications sometime last night or this morning.

I have not received any push notifications since installating the app several days ago. The badge only updates when I open the app. I'm running on a iPod Touch 2G with the 3.1.2 firmware.

Push notifications are not working for me. I did get one, once, but can't remember the details -- I think I opened/closed the app, which force-updated it.

My push seem to work now, well at least I get the sound/vibration now EVERY time. The only problem: The badge is missing and doesn't get updated :D

same for me here. I first could not understand why I had sounds without any SMS messages ... I figured out this was chess.com, but not badges.

That would be great to have them work (I'd rather have badges than sound).

Thanks to the above, I figured out why my phone has been vibrating despite not having any badges. Oddly enough, it also vibrates when a move is made in an unrated game, which doesn't even show up in my list of games on the iPhone.

I get notified by a sound and the phone vibrating however the badge doesnt get updated unless I open the app and connect to the site. If I then close down the badge shows correctly. The badge only ever changes if I open the app, it doesnt seem to change correctly when the phone received the notification.

Hi, I now have the feeling that I have the badges notifications since yesterday. I still need to double-confirm this and make sure that my app was not open. If anyone has seen changes recently, I would be interested.
