Because I’ve completed every lesson on chess.com, the app just shows a blank board for the “next lesson” thing and shows an error message when clicked. I doubt that this will be encountered by very many users but I thought I’d post about it anyway.

Overview:  A Bug concerning how the app is showing your Best Streak in the regular Puzzles incorrectly. Environment: This is concerning the Apple IOS version chess.com app ver 4.9.11 (17819)  I am on an iPhone 12 Pro Max using iOS 18.6. Steps to Reproduce:  Step 1) Open the chess.com app, and tap your avatar to open your profile.  You will see your different ratings for puzzles, daily, live360, rapid, blitz, bullet, etc...Step2) Tap on Puzzles and after a second or two, it will show your stats for puzzles.  If you scroll down slightly, to the right of Best Puzzle Solved, it shows your Best Streak... This number is incorrect. Result: The resulting number, rather than showing your best streak is the number of puzzles you've gotten correct that day...  (You can see this number on the website rather than the app.)  What is showing is the total number of puzzles you got correct on any given day, not a streak. Expected Result: The number that it is showing is not your Best Streak.  A puzzle streak is defined as the number of puzzles you've solved correctly in a row without an error.  If you work on 5 puzzles correctly, the next puzzle you miss or get incorrect, and then you get 3 more correct after that, your streak is 5.... It is not 8.  The missed puzzle should reset your "streak" number.

On both my iPhone and iPad app the friends in the friends list displays the wrong time last seen. It shows "Online 1 month ago or xx days ago" when they play almost every day. It used to be very accurate down to the hour but now it never updates. I noticed this behavior about a month or so ago when there was an update to the friends list. After several updates since it still isn't resolved. Not sure if you're aware. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck.

Hi guys having experienced both sides of chess.com id like to list some stuff I'm sure many people would appreciate. Option for multiple premoves - self explanatory, I've lost many a game on ios due to this Previous analysis option on analysis page Display of number of games played (total) on profile, (like in samsung) Fixing of game archive - I’ve noticed that when i go to my archive, and others, its littered with daily and bot games i played years ago… not in order or anything… Conditional Moves option for correspondence (kinda annoying when i have a forced sequence and cant premove so have to constantly log in at weird times because i forgot to make a move lol) There’s probably a couple more but thats all i can think of atm. Let me know what y’all think!

Hello, I have been playing on the Chess.com website for some time and have now installed the app for iOS. But I don't know how to play chess variants there. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Whenever I go into settings, my iPad just freezes and I just have to restart it. Problems

I searched through the Forums here and could not find this issue discussed. The results on the web-based Custom Puzzles page do not match the results on the iOS Custom Puzzles page. Both platforms have a rating range and a toggle for specific puzzles that a users has missed. Each page has an "All Themes" option, and the ability to select 50+ individual or combined themes. None of the theme percentages on my iPhone match the theme percentages on the web-based platform when using my laptop. The difference range from a few percentage points on some puzzles themes, to as much as 30% difference on other themes. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Is there a way to Bookmark lessons on the app? Am I missing it or is it simply not there? There are so many lessons to keep track of it would be nice to at least have this basic function of organization in the app to help.

It looks pretty quiet here... just curious to know if Chess.com is working on any new goodies for our smartphones?

Hello, I played a live game today on my iPhone and it displayed like this???? Why???? As you can see I could not see the time or my opponent, I simply hoped I was playing fast enough which is really not fair. I'd also like to see my opponent's avatar, rating, and time, this is the first and hopefully only time it will happen but just pointing it out. I don't play on my iPod that much, so I don't know if this happens in regular games. Anyway, I was playing in a custom-position daily tournament, and upon playing the checkmating move, it displayed it as a check. My Android doesn't do that, so I thought it was a little weird. So I play it and hit confirm because, checkmate, and it said I won. After winning, it still displayed as a check. I jumped on my computer, and it agrees that I played a checkmate, but the app chooses to use the check symbol. In both puzzles and games, there’s a weird artifact in the a8 square. It only appears when I’m white.

Apple recently released the Live Activities API to every developer, and I was thinking it could be a cool way to follow a game or tournament without having to go to the app every time for example we decide to follow a game that's happening in chess.com/events , and a live eval bar for the game appears on our home screen, with possibly a game thumbnail or something like that clicking on it would bring directly to the game

I think users should be able to play chess variants on the app.
