1. Nf3 f6 2. e3 Nc6?? is a blunder. Both 2... d5 and 2... e6 are far superior as after 2... Nc6 white can play 3. Ne5 which leads to a forced mate. On 3. Ng5 however black can play 3... d5 instead of the listed 3... fxg5 and survive for a little longer. Even though the position is still lost for him, it's not forced mate yet.

I would recommend using the lichess opening explorer at this point in time if you want to learn modern atomic theory because as it has millions of games from all levels of play listed in it as well as (fairly accurate even though it's far from perfect) computer analysis for atomic built in.

no because white doesnt have to move to f7 immediately
