Pretty self explanatory, just wanted to see the opinions of people here. For me, I have to pick Beethoven because he was the first truly Romantic composer, and the Romantic era was the peak of classical music for me.

For me atleast, Bach was more a consistently amazing composer. While I think Beethoven is better at his peak, and better in terms of influence, his lows were much lower than Bach's imo. So I'll go with Bach

I heard someone call Bach the Old Testament and beethoven the New Testament so this is a great juxtaposition. Ive never been huge on beethoven some of his pieces are fast food and make you feel good eating them and like crap after. (Cough op 14 no. 2) Sometimes Bach is like eating lettuce with no dressing though. Not trying to offend anyone this is why you don’t argue about religion. Lol

If y’all want a pretty easy Bach piece that is intense and reeealy fun to play try bwv 999. Make sure it’s the piano version and in c minor with 3 flats I saw some bad versions. I come back to this piece every once in a while. I come Bach to it. Sorry had to
