I agree 100%, there NEEDS to be a log of all admin activities so that the whole admin team can see which members were taken action on (kicked, muted, or banned) and which admin did it.

Maybe admins can get alerts, for example: DJM473 had banned blackfirestorm666.

Yes that's what I mean. Have a kind of log "x invited this person" " x did this action on a team match" etc

Yes this is absolutely needed especially if you are prone to rogue admins.

Yes. With my club we are very careful about who we make admin due to the lack of this kind of feature.

Yeah, exactly. That's what we need.

Be careful who you promote.

I believe there are plans for a log of admin activities, but even once we have that, a rogue admin could still cause a lot of trouble.  Choose your admins wisely.

yes, but their are above type bad person are only few. Most of them give respect much and earn respect too.

Of course. That's why I mentioned "rogue" admins. We know that if these people really want to then we can't stop it but if we're given the tools to identify them they can be got rid of.

I strongly agree. I've seen a 6600 member club struggle to get twenty players.

I know of a club with around 100 members and they bring almost all of them to a match. We had two 300 boards waiting for matches twice when the membership was below 400. Quality over quantity, every time.m

Yay! finally someone agrees with me.

You want to really believe in a club before you invite new people in, I'd way rather smaller and see people over time before you have to judge them.

That's exactly what I would do but then I trust my admins to let me back ingrin.png. if you're the club-owner, that may not be possible,

I was "cleaning out my club" the other day removing deleted members and it wouldn't ket me demote the group owner so I don't mean demote myself lol

If you don't trust them to not ban people, then you really shouldn't promote them to admin. maybe make them coordinators instead.

Agreed

The problem is, coordinators can't invite, either.  One thing people like to promote admins for is to help with recruitment; there are a lot of kids with a lot of enthusiasm who are willing to send invites in exchange for an admin role.  But they're also young and might misuse powers.  If there was a role that had invite abilities but not ban/kick abilities, I suspect it would get used a lot.

I'm a kid but I would never misuse the power

Yes, but there are others who do, and it's hard to tell online when you can't really get to know someone.

What is the use of a coordinator role then?

Avatar of MGleason

To arrange team matches and vote chess.  I don't see it as a particularly useful role.  But I'd have a lot of use for an "Inviter" role.

I would too.

I just think everyone misuses power at times, so a list of what the admins have been doing overnight would be helpful. Even to ourselves as SAs xD

most of the newer clubs i've been in, there's way more contention about who we play rather than who we invite.

I think it should be the other way round though, clubs should stay smaller and have more integrity
